Mission Statement

The mission of the Independent Schools Association of San Antonio is to provide member schools with a forum for collegiality, a network for sharing ideas, and a structure for advocating the values and diversity inherent in our independent schools.

Who we are

Independent Schools Association of San Antonio (ISA) represents a group of concerned independent school leaders who value excellence in independent school education in the San Antonio area. ISA is designed to provide a forum for collegiality and information sharing among independent schools. Every independent school possesses a character that is unique to its members, but as a group, we address fundamental issues like strategic planning, fund-raising, board building, and school accreditation. ISA provides school leaders an opportunity to meet on regularly and address complex issues within the regional framework that we all share, raising the overall quality of independent school education in the San Antonio area.

Together we make a difference!

ISA began as an initiative by a small number of independent school leaders. Their vision for information sharing in our global environment has become visible.  We serve approximately 40 members and have organized yearly events that have benefited San Antonio families, independent schools, and education professionals.  The "Member Directory" provides families with information about our member schools. If you are an independent school visiting our site and would like membership information, please visit the "Join Us" page.
